As Salaamu Alaikum,
One of the most important things I learned this year is that the number of good deeds we do is not as important as sincerity and high and pure intentions.
That is why some people will come on Yawm Al Qiyaama with so many good deeds, but the weight that Allah will have assigned to them will be nothing. And some people will come with almost nothing, and it will outweigh every sin they committed.
Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak رحمه الله said:
“How many small deeds are made great by intention, and how many great deeds are diminished because of intention.”
